Project Summary

 

In the summer of 2009, we constructed a new chemical storage building for the Michigan Department of Transportation.  The new structure aided them in increasing their road deicing chemical capacity.

 

The new structure was built to withstand the harsh Michigan winters, with full operation during such time, and a safe weather tight storage throughout the year. Our approach to completing tis project was to divied it into two seprt task or building components.  The chemical container has a twenty feet high by one foot wide concrete wall which cts as a retianing wall and foundation for the ten foot tall wood structure tha site on top of teh cncrete wall.

 

In the pictures below you can see how we constructed the wood 40 ft x 60 ft x 10 ft wood structure on the ground and raised to the concrete wall in three sections.
