Project Summary
This project was constructed using a Bid/Construction process. We were contracted to coordinate the relocation of a historic church, a historic concrete gateway, perform exterior renovation, construct a barrier free concrete ramp, install playground equipment, and landscape the site.
One of the biggest obstacles to over come was the coordination of removal of approximately five miles of overhead utility lines for the relocation of the church. The schedule required that we provided the least amount of interruption of services to the community and especially the industries that were affected by the move. Special care needed to be taken for the relocation of the 28,000 lbs concrete gateway as it was in poor condition and required a site built cradle to support the weight and secure it to the trailer while it was being transported.
